As well as being an actor John has a growing reputation as a director


DIRECTING credits include:

EVENTS WHILE GUARDING THE BOFORS GUN by John McGrath, starring Ciaran Hinds, at the Other Place in Stratford and the Kings Head in London for the RSC Fringe Festival.

John opened the Landor Theatre in London with the British premiere of INNOCENCE by Frank McGuinness and followed that with a production at the same venue of Harold Pinter’s THE DUMB WAITER, starring Alan Cox and Vincent Regan.

Most recently he directed A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM for the Zurich Ballet Company at the Shanghai Grand Theatre in China and at the Opera House in Zurich.

He was assistant director to Gerard Murphy on WASP by Steve Martin at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh and assisted Bill Alexander in mounting a touring production of HAMLET at Richmond Theatre Royal.

John also directs and takes classes at various drama schools including The Welsh College of Music and Drama, LAMDA, The Louisville School of Performing Arts in Kentucky and Ohio State University.
